Report of the President to the Members

THE PRESIDENT'S FUND TAKES OFF!

At the behest of Charles Zabriskie, Jr., President, the Trustees of the Society have donated nearly $40,000 at this writing toward strengthening the Presidents Fund, which is primarily used to provide the Society with additional financial resources to help meet general operating expenses. While the Board requested that each Trustee contribute $2,000, many of our members provided substantially more than the requirement bringing the average gift to date to almost $4,000. Charlie Zabriskie commented, “Bearing in mind the difficult economic circumstances throughout the country, I am extraordinarily proud that our Trustees strongly backed the on-going programs and mission of The Holland Society.”

President Zabriskie is encouraged by the strong effort in building the Presidents Fund and has every confidence that contributions will exceed $50,000 in the weeks ahead.

In closing, Charlie stated, “I have every confidence that a number of initiatives under consideration will add significantly to the successful operations of the Society in the years ahead.”
